The 2016 Camper Experience
What is the Value of Summer Camp?
Every year, families who send their children to Tawonga share their honest feedback through the Camper Satisfaction Insights Survey, helping our organization to continually reflect and improve. 95% of families surveyed in 2016 reported that their child’s experience was overall highly valuable.
Compared to 66 other participating residential Jewish camps in North America, Camp Tawonga performed well above the national average in nearly every category surveyed, including:
Likelihood of recommending Tawonga to family and friends
Overall satisfaction with the summer’s experience
Overall enjoyment and fun
Social Environment (creating a sense of belonging)
Programming (offering fun, worthwhile and skill-building programs)
Facilities (maintaining high-quality and clean facilities)
Health, Safety and Security (providing a healthy, safe and secure environment)
Leadership (leading and managing Camp with high quality staff)
Communication (communicating with families in a clear, timely and direct manner)
One parent shared, “Camp Tawonga embraces all children, giving them confidence and helping them flourish. Tawonga makes children feel safe so they can take risks and grow. What a gift!”
